By downloading or using MoodChef ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MoodChef regarding your use of the app. Your use of the app signifies your acceptance of these terms.
2. License
MoodChef grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its related systems
3. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
The free tier allows up to 3 recipe requests per day. Free users will see advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Premium subscriptions are available on a weekly or monthly basis. Subscriptions are processed and managed by Apple through the App Store. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
All purchases are subject to Apple's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support at support.apple.com.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Apple ID and for all activities that occur under your account. The app relies on microphone and speech recognition permissions to function — you are responsible for granting these permissions appropriately.
5. Recipe Content Disclaimer
Recipes generated by MoodChef are created by an AI model (Google Gemini) based on your mood input. While we strive for accuracy and safety:
- Recipes are suggestions only and may not suit all dietary needs or restrictions
- Always verify ingredients against any allergies or medical conditions
- MoodChef is not responsible for any adverse reactions resulting from following generated recipes
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property within the app are owned by MoodChef. You may not use any branding, logos, or content from the app without prior written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoodChef shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, through binding arbitration.
